The amended draft regulates the quarantine requirements for the importation of plants and plant products. Based on the risk assessment results, it designates fresh fruits of Helleborus spp., Ruscus spp., Eucalyptus spp., and Nigella spp. as non-hosts of the Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata). Additionally, the fig wax scale (Ceroplastes rusci) has been added to the list of pests of concern.
